Meet Judy and Brad Miller
Judy and Brad Miller are longtime supporters of Harborview Medical Center and UW Medicine. Their family philanthropy has always been guided by a belief in the power of medicine to serve everyone, regardless of background or circumstance.
Through Miller-Nicholson, Inc., the forty-year corporate owner of Honda of Seattle, Toyota of Seattle, and other Seattle-area businesses, the Miller family has established deep roots where they live and work, and they have consistently supported those in their community in greatest need of medical care. Whether the need is advanced treatment or the early detection of disease, Judy and Brad’s generosity has been directed toward accessible solutions.
The Millers were drawn to the founding vision of the Kren Engineering-based Medicine Initiative (KEMi), which brings researchers across disciplines together in an environment designed to foster new technology that will expand the reach of medicine. What inspired them most was the promise of innovation through collaboration, and its power to improve lives close to home.
“They resonate,” Brad wrote simply, after learning about KEMi’s first funded projects.
In KEMi, they saw a partner that shared their goals, and they are now providing their generous support to its work.
